Christening of Thyrell

Baptizing is one of the significant modes of rites or practice to most Christians. It is a ceremony or experience into which a person is initiated or be given a name. It is a traditional practice, a faith tradition where it is also called christening.  Catholics used to practice the infant baptism where water is poured on the head of an infant, but others also consider them in any forms of washing. 

I myself is baptized in the name of the Catholic Christians, but I used to wonder how was my celebration back then with my parents and godparents around me. Were they excited to celebrate it with me? Did they wish something great for me? But oh for sure! They were happy to carry me then in their arms as they cuddled me with my long pink baby gown! Yes, I still have my baby gown when I was baptized. I saw them in my mama’s closet that I was so happy to see them and imagined myself as a baby wearing that cute pink gown. I’m so lucky then because my parents did gave me the best christening day ever, (as per story of my granny) Yes! You think I’m really lucky?!

In the long run of my 35 years of existence, now then I have my first born with me and it’s  my turn to give him the best day of his christening as he enters the Christian world.

Thyrell’s christening was merely simple witnessed by us, his Godparents and our family & friends. It happened last December 20, 2014 in the church of Our Lady of Lourdes Parish and held the reception at the Lavilla Hall of BUTC campus. The ceremonial and celebration was grand enough for us to be proud of as my son now became and baptized as a Christian. He was baptized in the name of Thyrell Christian Benedict.

Why the name so long? Well then here’s the meaning of it. Thyrell is the name from the famous movie series “The Game of Thrones” . “Christian” is his daddy’s name, and “Benedict” is from St.Benedict to whom I prayed to grant me a baby boy, and if that happens I promised him that I am going to go after his name and let my son have it as one of his given names. My prayer was all granted so there it goes!  By the way, we gave him the nickname, Mochi which means a Japanese rice cake.

Witnessing my son’s day gave me a different feeling of excitement, a feeling of a mommy that no one can explain and that my hubby feels the same way too. We prepared everything for him with joyfulness to make everything perfect for him and to make it even more unforgettable for in some ways, my son will knew when he grows up how was it all and how it goes well during the day of his christening.

                    

*On the other hand of the very well celebration, I and Christian would like to say Thank you, to all the people who gave their support and care, the unending love to our only son during his special day. To my family, to my in-laws, to all my good friends who were around to celebrate it with us, and to all the friends who are on the other side of the world who still have the courage to send their gifts for our baby despite of the distance we have. Thank you all for your thoughtfulness!

My better half wants me to have my maternity photo/s. So cute that he insisted me to have one. Oh well! Such a nice and cute idea. With my seven months old baby inside, we flaunt the biggy tummy and captures the lovely day!

The Baby Shower and The birthday

There's no other words that I want say except for, Thank you!

My better half indeed throw a party for me and my six months old baby inside.We celebrated my birthday and the baby shower together with some of our friends and family. Hence, June 7 of 2013 became a special day to us. Of course, this couldn't be possible without my husband whose so excited for our baby and for the things that may happen along with our future life. He prepared everything for the party, from the giveaways, the balloons, going to the grocery and cleaning up of our house. But the cooking? Oh! It was done by my good cook friend, Mhay and her husband. Yummy indeed! 

The party was full of fun. We had card games too to entertain our Friends and whoever wins will get the price of a perfume. We laugh over jokes and stories and pictures to save the memories. My little boy inside me also received gifts and wishes for the special day. It was a bit tiring in the end, but of course, the happy times and  the memorable party was all worth, priceless.

Thank you Chryz, Dad, my hubby and my luvvy! Baby and I loves you much.

Ternate Beach Resort - Cavite

I’ve been into many beaches and all of them amazed me of how they are all made and created.  Each of those beaches is unique and perfectly customized by man to enhance its beauty and to give a more or less ideal view to those who wants to unwind and enjoy the cool water on a perfect summer. I’m one of them of course, and I make sure that when summer heats I must at least go once to the beach to relax myself and make another adventure with the nature.

This very first day of the month of May 2014, I had the chance to visit the Ternate Beach Resort with my husbands’ family and relatives. The place is within the reach of Cavite but I find it far. However, after that long ride is a worth it experience for when you arrived to the resort, is the feeling of a trouble-free person. The water is so tempting to freshen up; the aqua rides are just great for you to enjoy like the banana boat, Jet Ski, kayak, and the aqua bike; the vicinity is accommodating to your needs and coconut trees are everywhere which adds a magnificent sight wherever you go. Cottages are available to those who want to stay overnight. Air conditioned rooms are also offered from standard to family rooms with their affordable rates. Music is everywhere and you can see that everyone is really enjoying and taking pictures for their keepsakes.

We captured some photos here too and I can say that these moments are worth keeping. And whatever or wherever you go this summer days, just enjoy it, feel it, and treasure it. For opportunity only comes once in our lives and I’ll tell you, there are no second chances. And what I do most when I have these chances? I just please it to make my vacation a real one and fulfilled vacation.
